Reviews

Getting to Silence your opponent is pretty funny, but that's most of what Bilbo's Gambit has going for it and I'm not a fan. Unsubstantiate is significantly better than this and isn't very strong. Maybe this being in white is relevant, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it.

How to draft it

Roles in each deck

  • Patchwork Midrange Combat trick

Returning a spell to its owner's hand only delays it, so you spend a card and the opponent recasts theirs later. With the gift promised, they also get a , and then no player can cast spells for the rest of the turn.

    How to play it

Keep it in the sideboard. If you do play it, promise the gift on the opponent's turn against the big spell they out for, so they can't recast it or anything else and lose that turn's mana. On your own turn the gift stops you from casting spells too, so cast everything you need first.
