Reviews

We don't often find ourselves needing a burst of mana like this in a game of Limited. Of course, mana dorks are very good, but not at the expense of our creatures. Bolg's Company is the sort of card that shines when you can build around it, which you can only do so much in Limited. Still, it something for free and can just be a 2/2 creature, so it definitely has its uses.

Bolg's Company: for 2 power, but no on turn 2 barring Tidings of War.

Roles in each deck

  • Goblin Army Early play

Tapping it and sacrificing another Goblin for is almost never worth your . That leaves a 2/2 that needs both colors on turn 2 and has while you control another Goblin.

    How to play it

Play it only if you are short on . With a Goblin already out (your , Bothersome Noisemaker, Stony-Voiced Goblins) it attacks the turn it lands. Save the mana ability for a Goblin you want dead, such as Fearsome Goblin Pair, whose 4 still happens, to cast something big a turn early.
