Reviews

Just like I said for its black counterpart, cheap creatures are always nice to see. Attercop even doubles up as a somewhat aggressive creature for the early turns of the game. I like this a fair bit, and it should be a good way to start your in most green decks.

Attercop's vulnerability to X/1 hate is a pain sometimes, but it's still better than Wargling or Guardian of the Halls.

These will mostly come up to punish you for playing colors other than black.Good cards like Attercop, The Queen of Dale, and Long-lake Nuisance will randomly find themselves dying en masse, which of course frees up the rest of your board to die to Crude Bent Blade. Ouch!

    How to play it

Keep it home early, where it trades with the biggest creature they attack with. Late in the game it is the best target for Warg Tactics' counter mode, because a creature with needs to assign only 1 damage to its blocker.

  • Beasts and Burn Early play

on a keeps big ground creatures from attacking into it, and adds to the list. It is also your best Quarrel source, because 2 deathtouch damage kills even a 6/6.

    How to play it

With a big threat across the table, hold it back for Quarrel instead of trading it. With 1 toughness it to anything that deals 1 damage to each creature.

  • Patchwork Midrange Early play

Few fit this deck better. and let it trade with a or a 6/6, so it holds the ground while bigger creatures arrive, and gives it +1/+1 until end of turn whenever a land you control enters.

    How to play it

It stays home on most early turns, since few opponents attack a big creature into . Its 1 toughness in almost any block, so attack with it only when trading it for the blocker is a good deal.
