Reviews

If you make the most of Down in the Valley, you'll end up paying 3 mana to get a land from your deck along with at least two Elf (more if you can get some extra land drops somehow) and a nice little power buff to your team. That's some very good value from a simple 3-mana saga, and it's definitely worth picking highly.

Down in the Valley

Down in the Valley is one of the best cards green has, and a genuine reason to care about elves.

How to draft it

Roles in each deck

  • Elf Landfall Rewards the plan

Chapter I fetches a basic land into your hand, chapter II makes a 1/1 Elf for each land after it, and chapters III and IV give your Elves +1/+0 and until end of turn. This deck has more Elves than other green decks, so those last two chapters pump a real team, Wood Elves, Mirkwood Pathmaker and Woodland Weavemaster included.

    How to play it

Before casting it on turn 3, check that you hold land drops for the next two turns, counting the one chapter I finds. The is right after chapter IV , so the land on the chapter IV turn makes no . Swing with every Elf that can attack on the chapter III and IV turns.
