Reviews

4/2 is a very weird stat line for a creature, but there we go. Between trading creatures in combat, , and sacrificing your armies, it shouldn't be too difficult to turn on the cost reduction for Dreaded Bat-Cloud, at which point it looks like a very aggressive flier that can trade one-for-one with any big flier. Doesn't seem too bad, but you really need to be able to enable that cost reduction.

There's a huge gap between and . Trading requires some cooperation from your opponent, and Crude Bent Blade + both discourage trading in this format.I often cut Dreaded Bat-Cloud from decks that don't have multiple cards like Snowslope Hunter and Stir Up Trouble. It's not a terrible card, but remember, black has an embarrassment of riches.

How to draft it

Roles in each deck

  • Removal Control Threat

Goblin Army's make it a 2-mana 4/2 with on most turns. Here your creatures mostly die blocking on the opponent's turn, so you usually pay the full 5 mana.

    How to play it

Kill something first, then cast it for in the same turn. Stir Up Trouble does both jobs at once, since the creature you too, or not. Without a kill, cast it for 5 only when you have nothing better to do with the turn.
