Reviews

For a long time, Elvenking's Harper is only going to be a vanilla 2/2. Deep into the late game it can become a legitimate threat, especially as it can make any of your creatures unblockable and not just itself. That means this is probably worth playing from time to time, but you also won't miss it if you don't have access to it.

How to draft it

Roles in each deck

  • Draw Two Filler

Elvenking's Harper is filler, a 2-mana 2/2 Elf whose ability makes one creature unblockable for the turn. It does nothing with your extra draws, so take Lakeshore Apothecary or Master's Councillors first.

    How to play it

Activate it before blockers are declared (in your main phase or as combat begins) on the creature carrying Bard the Bowman's counters or Eagle's Rescue. As an Elf it also untaps the land Elven Passage fetches, when you behold it (reveal it from your hand or choose it on the battlefield).
