Reviews

Okay, this is a really weird card to evaluate. On the one hand, Uncover the Moon-Letters has the downside of every other of its kind; it costs a lot and doesn't affect the board in any way. That's obviously really bad, so does it give us an advantage worth that cost? If your deck is set up for it, it kind of does. If you can cast a meaningful 5-mana spell, it draws you five new cards and you discard two, which is a really incredible effect to get. Plus, it keeps triggering on future spells cast. I'm not exactly sold on this and it's probably unplayable, but I think there just might be enough going on here to warrant trying it out.

How to draft it

Roles in each deck

  • Removal Control Gets you extra cards

The 4-mana doesn't touch the battlefield and pays off only on noncreature spells. Each one may draw you cards equal to the mana spent on it, and then you discard two, so a 3-mana spell nets one card and a 1-mana spell isn't worth the draw.

    How to play it

A creature that blocks does more for this deck. If you play it anyway, take the draw only on spells that cost 3 or more. Flashing back Plunder the Trollshaws for draws four from the and two from Plunder.
