The fine print

Only your creatures count. looks only at creatures you control. The opponent's 6/6 does nothing for you.

Power means its power right now. +1/+1 counters , Crude Bent Blade's +2/+1, Desolation Prowler's pump and Mirkwood Pathmaker's land count all add up. Damage does not lower power. A 4/4 Pathmaker that took 3 damage is still a 4-power creature.

"If" and "while" check at different times. Every ferocious ability is a triggered ability, and the word after its trigger decides when it looks.

Nasty Little RabbitNighthowl Pursuer
Nasty Little Rabbit's ferocious ability says if after its trigger, and Nighthowl Pursuer's says while.
  • "if" (Nasty Little Rabbit). The Rabbit looks when the beginning of combat step starts. With no 4-power creature then, it doesn't trigger at all, and pumping Prowler later in that step is too late. If it triggers, it looks again as it , so if the opponent kills your big creature in response, the Rabbit gets no counter.
  • "while" (Nighthowl Pursuer, Ravening Warg, Wargling, Wilderland Scrounger, The Chief Warg). These look once, as you declare attackers. After that the ability resolves whatever happens to your big creature, and Pursuer keeps its +2/+2 until end of turn.

Which creatures get the bonus. Wargling gives to the creatures you control as its ability resolves, attacking or not. The Chief Warg triggers once per combat however many creatures attack, and it doesn't have to attack itself. Wilderland Scrounger puts a on each creature you control, itself included.

Counters leave with the creature. A creature that leaves the battlefield and returns is a new object with no counters. A Rabbit returned to your hand by Mirkwood Nurturer, or brought back from the with Gathering of Darkness, starts over as a 1/2. A Wolf that is gone for good.
