An that destroys any creature kills what cheap damage can't, like a 5/5 Smaug, Wicked Worm or an with five counters. Take it early, because one big blocker can stop your whole attack and Pinecone Strike stops at 3 damage.
How to play it
Save it for creatures with 4 or more toughness. It can wait for their turn and kill the creature they equipped that turn, or an attacker before damage. The needs two black sources, so with 8 Swamps don't count on it on turn 3.
It cleanly answers any creature for just 3 mana, so any black deck will want to play it.
