Reviews
A 3-power for 4 mana used to be a good deal. Now, not so much. If you can get the 1/1 from the ability, then Long Lake Nuisance looks like a pretty good deal for the mana, but when you don't, it just looks mediocre. One toughness makes this creature so vulnerable to and other 1/1 fliers that it just won't be good enough a lot of the time.
Consider it when you see Long Lake Nuisance and up.

Roles in each deck
Draw Two Threat
Four mana buys a 3/1 , a and often a 1/1 Soldier. The weak point is its 1 toughness, which any 1/1 flier or damage spell can punish.
How to play it
Learn the Draw Two deckAttack whenever the air is clear, and keep it out of ground blocks. Bard the Bowman's +1/+1 counters cover its 1 toughness.
Elf Landfall Threat
The only blue or green common with is this 4-mana 3/1, and it recruits when it enters. Take it when you have no other way to get damage through.
How to play it
Learn the Elf Landfall deckOnce the ground stalls, its 3 damage a turn in the air is often all you have. Any or creature that blocks it kills it, so attack only into an empty sky.
Removal Control Threat
Removal Control decks play this more than any other nonland card, because a 3-power is how a deck that stalls the ground wins. The as it enters digs one card deeper, and often leaves a Soldier, before the bird attacks.
How to play it
Learn the Removal Control deckAttack in the air every turn and leave blocking to the ground creatures. When the opponent has no , Crude Bent Blade on it makes a 5/2 flier.
Burn and Draw Threat
Your games here stall on the ground, and a 3/1 for 4 ends them. Its as it enters swaps a card you don't need for a new one.
How to play it
Learn the Burn and Draw deckAny ping kills it (Easy Pickings, The Black Arrow, an opposing Gandalf, Spark Starter), so attack while it lives instead of holding it back. Discard a land to the only when you have plenty.
